kayapakka curry
Bitter gourd(Kayapakka) - 1 - 2 nos(finely chopped)
Onion(big) - 1 - 2 nos (finely chopped)
Red chilly powder - 1 tbsp
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Jaggery(Sharkkara) -
A littleCurry leaves -
Mustard-1 tsp
Oil - 2 tbsp
Salt - As reqd
Preparation Method
1)Heat oil in a frying pan.
2)Add mustard seeds and when they splutter, add the chopped onions and fry till brown.
3)Add chilly powder and coriander powder and fry till the raw smell of the masala disappears.
4)Add the chopped bitter gourd and stir for sometime.
5)Add a little water and allow it to boil.
6)Add jaggery, curry leaves and salt and keep the pan closed.
7)Allow the contents to cook and let the water evaporate.
8)Add oil and fry the contents
