DAAL in different style
Toor daal-1 cup
Tomato-1
Mustard-1 tbsp
Oil-few drops
Jeera-a pinch
Jaggery(sharkkara)-a small piece
Tamarind-1/4 lemon size
Preparation method
Soak Toor daal for 1/2 hrs and cook in pressure cooker.
Add 1 tomato ( cut into small pieces) again boil nicely so that tomato is nicely cooked( tip -- skin of the tomato will be removed if it is cooked nicely )
heat the pan
Apply oil (those who has cholestrol add only 3 drops of oil )
add mustard, jeera, bay leave 2-3 nos,
Pour dal to the tawa, add little sarkara 1/4 spoon or less than this , add turmeric 1/2 spoon , chilly powder 1/2 spoon and salt to taste.
Let it cook for 2-3 minutes. Add tamarind pulp (pulinga 1/4 lemon size) .
And cook again till it starts to boil.
Now garnish with coriander leaves.
make a thick daal curry ,
tasty with chapati , rice or fried rice
